It's what the Bible teaches, fir. If you pick up a Bible in a proper
translation and read it ... then God Himself will reveal the truth to
you.

It's the division between the saved and unsaved, which is the same
division between the born again (spiritually) and natural man.
We are three-fold beings:
(1) Soul
(2) Body
(3) Spirit
The punishment of sin is death:

When Jesus takes our sin away, transferring it to Himself at the cross,
then we are no longer under that punishment / condemnation, but rather
He is. He dies in our place so that we are set free. When we are no
longer dead because of sin, we are then alive (spiritually, eternally).
Until a person is born again, they cannot know anything of what I'm
talking about, fir. But, when they are born again, it will as natural

I can't convince you, ImperiusDamian. I can only give you my testimony: I was an atheist. I was convinced God was unnecessary. I wasn't looking for faith, but I was searching to know the truth. When I set my sights on the truth ... I found Jesus. In my experience, it's the same experience for all who come to faith in Christ. Most of them had no possible belief or thought that they could ever be "sucked into" that "phony religious crutch system." But, it's not like that. Jesus literally changes a person in a way that is new. I hated DS9 when it first came out. When I re-watched it later I found it to be quite amazing. I felt the same way about Enterprise. My favorite captain was Sisko for a while, but now I think it's Archer ... though both of them made bad decisions at times. I think their strength of character was the best of any character in Star Trek, with Janeway being a very close third. our own personal interpretations and opinions about what's right

People who are perishing don't see it today because all they know is
the flesh, and here in the flesh everything looks fine.
It is your eternal soul that is dead in sin, and your spirit that is
dead in sin, not your body. When you come to Jesus and ask Him to
forgive your sin, He takes your sin away, which makes you eternally
alive again (spiritually alive), and your soul is saved from Hell.
People will either find this out here in this world by coming to
Jesus and asking forgiveness and discovering it here upon this Earth,
or they will not find out this side of death, only to find out on
that side of death, and then will come only judgment.
It is that judgment my witness for Christ is trying to save you
from. I teach you His words, and point you to Him, so that you can
have the opportunity to be saved. You must still seek it out. I
can only show you the way to Him ... through faith, and through an
honest seeking of thetruth.
