We are called to into all the world and teach and make disciples. God's word is for all people, not just those in alt.religion. I have interests in C, and hardware, so I posted it there. Other people will post things in other areas. I do not have interests there, so you won't find me there. But where you do find me, you will see these kinds of posts. I am a software developer. I care about the people in my life, even if they do not care about me. I have love for people, and for them knowing the truth and being given the opportunity to hear the truth from me, with me then also pointing them to the truth so they can confirm on their own. Jesus Christ is real. Sin is real. Judgment on sin is real. And Hell is real. Jesus came to meet us at the point of forgiveness, rather than judgment. It's why we need Him. All of us. Not just those in alt.religion, or in talk.origins. But even those people in comp.lang.c, and comp.arch. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin

Well, no. His religious beliefs are unlikely to be stronger than mine (if you'd like to come by St. Albert the Great Newman Parish in Las Cruces tomorrow at 11, I'm second lector at mass), but I know better than to try to push them in a technical venue like this.

Most religious people have no problem with the fact of evolution nor the synthetic theories of evolution. Christian religious people believe there was divine initiation of some kind, but they're willing to be fuzzy enough on the details to work with nonchristians including atheists. What has happenned is a few christian sects have fallen into the same trap that catholics did in the past and many moslems do today: the claim that the religious authority figures have the correct answer and therefore they must be accepted as authority figures. The catholic church really didn't care if the earth went around the sun, or the sun around the earth, but the church had claimed the latter. The church decided that anyone, such as Galileo Galilei, who disagreed was traitor to the pope and church. Eventually that church was forced to admit by sheer weight of evidence that a lot of what it claimed was crap. It turned out the faithful really didn't care, and the pope remained the pope. The guy who proposed the Big Bang was a french catholic priest, LeMaitre. So in the last century or so new sects have based their authority on their claim the bible is literally true, a claim rejected by catholics and many protestants. These sects think their temporal authority would undermined or overwhelmed by any admission such as Noah didn't actually happen as written, but was an old fable adapted to tell a religious point about the importance of law in human society. (Thus subverting many important religious teachings for inconsequential nonsense about whether Adam and Eve had navels.) Many imans have accrued great power by convincing their sheep that the iman alone has the true answers that lead to paradise. They discourage their sheep from thinking for themselves. Obviously then democracy is their enemy because democracy works when people think for themselves and take responsibility for their decisions. -- :-<> Siri Seal of Disavowal #000-001. Disavowed. Denied. Deleted. 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' If you assume the final scene is a dying delusion as Tom Cruise drowns below the Louvre, then Edge of Tomorrow has a happy ending. Kill Tom repeat..

Watch the videos, Siri Cruise. They will correct your mistakes and
misconceptions about Christ, about Christianity, about creation, and
about yourself.
You can listen to the content by experts and see for yourself exactly
where the world teaches us incorrectly, and learn why (because there
is an active enemy who espouses any lie that can line up with our fallen
in sin flesh, and its failed reasoning abilities). And also where the
world teaches even the church incorrectly about what to believe in with
regards to its own doctrine (because of the pervasiveness of influence
from the lies that enemy espouses, and how men seeking after the flesh
will follow flesh-based reason ahead of God's Holy Spirit and the
knowledge which comes from the spirit through the born again nature).

There really is a complete and total dichotomy at work in this world.
Either you ARE born again and saved, or you ARE deceived and going to
Hell. There is absolutely no middle ground. And you, Siri Cruise, today,
are deceived and going to Hell. It's up to you if it stays that way.
Jesus has done everything to save you, including sending men and women
like me into your life to point you to Him actively.

Genesis is metaphors and parables just like the Gospels. Your silliness about evolution blinds you to the much more important lessons about faith, law, personal responsibility, corrupt cities vs pastoral tribes and how to avoid corruption when transitionning to settled life, personal failings and their consequences, political power vs religious purity, and whether men should 'strive with El' = yisrael. So on one hand we have stories about Jacob wrestling with something, Abraham arguing to save Sodom, Noah in a drunken despair, but we also have Abraham willing to kill Isaac and Noah willing to abandon the rest of the humanity. You can get in a pointless argument whether those actually happenned, or ask the more important question: does the god of Israel want humans to stand up to him? Also Jesus said no greater love than give up your life for another, but when you are absolutely certain that death, no matter how unpleasant, will be temporary and followed by unkillable in paradise, is that really giving up your life for another? Or when you combine Jesus with Genesis, is the real point that anyone who is saved is expected stand up to their god, risking death eternal, to defend the rest of humanity, demanding that all people receive forgiveness regardless of whether they deserve it? And, no, I don't know. But I think that's a far more important question than whether Adam and Eve had navels. -- :-<> Siri Seal of Disavowal #000-001. Disavowed. Denied. Deleted. But I think that's a far more important question than > whether Adam and Eve had navels. I can answer you on all points, Siri, but you will only summarily dismiss what I say because it's easier to do that and remain where you are than it is to pursue the truth to its own end. I would advise you to watch the videos so you can hear from people who aren't me these things I'm teaching you. You will see that my voice is not alone, and that there really is a purpose to our creation. And you will learn that the story of Genesis is literal, and that the things the Bible teaches all have value not just as metaphors or allegories, but as real historical stories from real people who did real things for real reasons, which also for us today teach us about how the things we encounter spiritually happen, because we can see the events transpire in the natural, but we can't see them transpire in the spiritual, but the two are quite similar, and there is much to learn from the natural when then facing the spiritual. Watch the videos, and every question and false thinking you have will be answered in these areas. God really did convey real things to us for real reasons. It is only the enemy who says false things about God/truth, who denies God's purpose in the things He's done, as by alternative explanations. Only God leads you rightly. Genesis is a literal account, and the Earth is only about 6,000 years old. And our time on this planet is about up because Jesus is returning soon. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin

It will make it more easy for the enemy to convince you of his lie that you don't need Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. That enemy's attack against you and your family makes it more difficult for you to come to the truth. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin

In your last post about your CAlive language, I told you that you are announcing that wonderful compiler that will do such marvelous things and that nobody has ever seen but... since years that we hear about it (and its associated assembler, whatever) and still nothing visible. We will have to wait more than two thousand years of course! I told you in that thread that that compiler is vaporware: programs that are incredibly good, wonderful and will change the world but nobody has ever seen... You did not answer to that message and you started this thread, since actually, the other "technical" threads that you start are just a coverup for your religious activities here. Religious people are constantly lying. They can't evolve, fixed in their absurd beliefs without any hope of redemption. Contrary to them, I belive that everyone is free, and free also to choose lies and gods as a guide. I think Mr Hodgin is a good poster here: he teach us how bad religion can become every day with every post. He will repeat his stored message without any regard for others or for the subject of this newsgroup, always the same god, always the same empty words, just like his "compiler project" lie. There is no CAlive, no god nor any angel, demon or whatever is written in all those sacred books. JUST LIES!

Christians everywhere care about people, and are in the same
boat as this 1800s preacher... we teach others the truth, and we
are mocked and scorned because of it (due to the pervasiveness
of sin, and the inability of dead flesh to discern and know living spirit):
"If sinners be damned, at least let them leap
to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they
perish, let them perish with our arms
wrapped about their knees, imploring them
to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled
in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one
go unwarned and unprayed for."
C.H. Spurgeon
Best regards,
Rick C. Hodgin

You're seeing the enemy portraying something by name which is a false representation of the real thing so as to make it offensive and obscene, so that people can take a cursory glance at "Christians" or "Christianity" and conclude: evil. And turn away from it. It's a ploy to trick those who will only look at the surface, and who won't pursue the truth with a real, full effort. But for those who will pursue the truth, it will be known to them, and they will know the heart of God takes no pleasure in men winding up in Hell. They will see the death of Jesus on the cross while we were yet sinners, still guilty, doing bad things, and they will see how men and women like me have been changed and witness the true love of Christ, even though our representation is inadequate because we still wrestle with our sinful nature being tugged at by the vast number of sinful draws and pulls in this world. Did deep. Seek the whole truth. Uncover the lies of the enemy, and be set free from his deception, and from sin. Jesus alone makes it possible, because only Jesus Christ can take our sin away and give us the born again spirit nature, which then completely supplants the old man, so that we are literally brand new creations, alive forevermore, but still remaining here for a time. The enemy uses whatever he can to fool people, to deceive them. All of it is to keep them from coming to Jesus Christ. But for the truth-seeker, that person is known to God, and God supernaturally reaches into their life abd brings about the changes required for the new birth. No other way. Jesus Christ alone and only makes it possible, which is why the enemy seeks in so many ways to discredit Him by making those who are not born again, yet call themselves by the name "Christian," do heinous things. It's easy to be deceived, but the truth-seeker will not be deceived for long. God knows he/she seeks the truth, and He will lead them to it supernaturally. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin
