It's being purported that way, but that's not what's really happening. I urge you to honestly search the matter out. You'll find that what's reported popularly does not actually hold up to scrutiny. I urge you to search the matter out. You'll come to truth if you do, and the truth will make you free. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin

It's about 6,000 years old. To the Lord one day is as a thousand years,
and a thousand years is as a day. In six days He created the Earth,
which is 6,000 years. On the seventh day He rested, which is His 1,000
year upcoming millennial reign.
http://biblehub.com/kjv/2_peter/3-8.htm
http://biblehub.com/kjv/revelation/20-6.htm
The end of all sin occurs after the 1,000 year reign:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/revelation/20-7.htm
http://biblehub.com/kjv/revelation/20-10.htm
http://biblehub.com/kjv/revelation/20-15.htm
This then begins the eighth day, which is a perpetual day, which is seen
in symbolism from the Jewish traditional of circumcision on the eighth
day, whereby the excess flesh is removed and the everlasting covenant with
God begins.
Do you see how God has foreshadowed what's coming with what has been? Do
you see how God has assembled it all together? Why He made them male and
female, symbolic of us being married to Him in eternity.
Read what it says here, an open invitation for all who will come to Him.
It says "the spirit and the bride say 'Come'" ... that's His Holy Spirit,
and the bride of Christ, which is the true church:
http://biblehub.com/revelation/22-17.htm
"And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say,
Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him
take the water of life freely."
He calls out to all people. He, living inside of us, calls out to all
people through us. And just as there was one door into the Ark Noah
built, one way to be saved, so it is in Jesus Christ. One door only:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/john/10-9.htm
"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture."
Time is almost up. Board the ark. His name is Jesus Christ, and there is
room for everyone who will come at the cross.
Best regards,
Rick C. Hodgin

So, your 6000 years is that times a 1000, so: The earth was created in 6,000,000 years according to the apparent time differential wrt God and us beings here in the physical realm wrt the bible. Almost like God is in a black hole or something. This is kookville, but I still find it moderately interesting. :^)

You're standing upon your assertions and then trying to make God fit into the box you've constructed. You're not searching for the truth. I can't take you or anybody through the door, Chris. I can only only bring you to the door. You must walk through it. It's the same for all people, because it is personal for each of us. Best regards, Rick C. Hodgin

The earth formed around 4.5 Giga-years ago. The solar system is around 5 Giga-years. 6 million years is relatively recently in geological theory. For instance dinos disappeared around 60 million years ago. Religious people are not what you wpuld say 'up to date' isn't it? And so they arrive at: > Almost like God is in a black hole or something. Yeah. Whatever... just throw some babble. > This is > kookville, exactly! but I still find it moderately interesting. :^) Me too. Observing religious people emit their nonsense is like hearing the noise of that NCIS series on TV, or skimming about the noise of the euro football competition when you pass near a pub these days. The silent noise of ignorance, gullibility and ego: religion. Be that religion foot, god, or whatever.

You and your "sicency" facts. Bah. Science does not exist... Ahhh crap... I went off into the land of Rick. Funny how the morons really do seem to think that the earth is so damn young. 6 million year is a drop in the ocean wrt geologic time. Humm... Let me guess... Rick probably thinks that the earth is the only planet with intelligent life as well. AFAICT, these types of nuts never come out of the damn shell!

To sum up what genetic researchers are finding: There is too much
information in DNA to have come about randomly by chance. These include
alphabets, languages, encoding and decoding mechanisms, even dual-encoding
and dual-decoding mechanisms, which relate back to a transmission process
of data from its encoding in DNA, to its utilization in the protein machines
created by that DNA.
You can see this aspect summed up here, along with the multitude of tiny
protein machines required in every cell to make it all happen:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00vBqYDBW5s&t=11m6s
Information does not come about randomly from un-directed sources. This
one point alone categorically disproves molecules-to-man evolution, because
the information required to bring it together cannot happen naturally no
matter how much time is given it.
-----
For the components people would ascribe to evolution, such as a form
adapting to changing environment over time, that also is not evolution,
but is rather an expression of the variability that was programmed into
the DNA by its designer. There are no aspects of adaptation that will
occur which were not already programmed into the DNA, and within the
allowance of change within its design. An existing lifeform or creature
will not take on new characteristics that were not already allowed for,
and given to it, within those abilities.
It is not chance, but design. It is not evolution, but a recognition of
the environment the designer created them to be in, and the provision
encoded within their DNA to allow for the adaptation.
-----
You see, God originally created master forms which were of a kind (dog
kind, cat kind, people kind). Those first creations had programmed into
them, by God, on purpose, all of the genetic variability which would later
express itself and diversify out unto all of the forms seen within their
kind. Tall people, short people, black hair, red hair, blue eyes, green
eyes, and so on... all of it existed in the fist creation by God, and then
later was diversified out through the diversification mechanisms God gave
them, so they would become all of their various forms.
It is the process of selection which diversifies the information already
there in the DNA, coupled with some things in the environment (the same
DNA can ultimately express slightly differently based on available food
sources, temperature differences, and so on, and there are mechanisms
designed into the protein machines at work which can also adapt, such
as adapting to seasons and being able to stay warm in winter and cool
in summer through body changes).
None of these came about by accident, or chance, or evolution. They are
all part of the design God gave them, and it is only the enemy who is
ascribing God's work to another source because that enemy does not want
you to come to know God, to receive Jesus Christ, and to be saved from
the punishment of sin.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/psalms/139-14.htm
Even the hairs on your head are numbered:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/matthew/10-30.htm
Our bodies here on this Earth are temporary, and will wear out, but when
we leave this world we will receive bodies like those of the angels.
These will carry with us either into Heaven and the paradise of God, or
into Hell where they will endure flames forever:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/philippians/3-21.htm
http://biblehub.com/kjv/isaiah/51-6.htm
God is isolating sin in Hell. He has made a way out for everybody so
that not a single person anywhere need go there, but only those who
embrace sin ahead of truth will go there:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/matthew/11-28.htm
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly
in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
-----
The more scientists study the things of the universe, the more they reveal
God:
http://biblehub.com/kjv/psalms/19-1.htm
"...The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth
his handywork."
He is all around you. Look in any direction and you will find Him. And
where you find something that is not as it should be (disease, hate, war,
death), know that what you see is the result of sin, and not God or of
God's creation. Sin is that destructive, which is why God is locking it
away completely, in Hell, forever.
Sin is the enemy, and Jesus is the 100% complete cure. He restores us
to righteousness, restores us to eternal life, and gives us the keys to
the universe as we are married to Him in eternity, the eternal form of
that which we have here on Earth in symbolism with our Earthly marriage
between a man and a woman. We will be joint-heirs with Christ (all He
has He gives to us, and all we have we give to Him, as with marriage
today):
http://biblehub.com/kjv/romans/8-17.htm
"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with
Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also
glorified together."
God has worked out an amazing plan of salvation for people, and is giving
us an amazing future of eternal life. We will shine like the stars
forever ... :
http://biblehub.com/kjv/daniel/12-3.htm
... even as we shine now here in this corrupt world, shining His light
of love and truth and life into the darkness:

You don't understand evolution, genetics, molecular biology, or chemistry. You watch videos made by religious fanatics who also totally and completely fail to understand these topics - because they have not the slightest interest or motivation to understand them. They are only interested in finding ways to misinterpret things as "proof" of their claims. You would be well advised to learn from a range of unbiased sources before discussing them. If I believed in a creator god, I would be far more impressed with one that was able to produce an elegant and flexible biological system based on an impressively minimalistic system (four "letters" of DNA, 20 "letters" for proteins, and the basic sugar + oxygen <-> water + CO2 cycle), than a god that was so limited in abilities and imagination that he had to micromanage down to the level of putting together every lifeform individually. If the reality of abiogenesis and unguided evolution does not fit with your beliefs, then a god that created the first lifeforms then guided evolution towards his goals (it's just selective breeding on a larger scale) over a period of 4.5G years would be worthy of a lot more admiration than one that had to do everything manually with a view to a mere few thousand years. Enough off-topic chatter from me in this thread. My apologies to those that don't like my drop in the ocean here - I am merely a fallible human, and cannot always resist temptation.

A newly discovered rotary engine inside the human body. It generates ATP
that every cell needs and uses for energy:
ATP Synthase
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI8m6o0gXDY
This one exists atop the already known bacterial flagellum "outboard engine"
that spins up to 100,000 RPM:

These are biochemical machines designed for these purposes.

FWIW, here is a little rendering I created using gravitational field lines that creates a kind of natural looking piece of wood, complete with knots: https://plus.google.com/101799841244447089430/posts/3xgCNxWsVAo The program is a kind of machine. I wonder if everything in nature is created with iterated function systems. The question is, what created these programs! ;^)

DNA replication. Molecular machines making copies of the original
strand of DNA. Packaging mechanisms to keep the strand untangled,
and to allow ordered access.
Tiny machines, thousands of them, in every cell making your complex
life possible ... and that doesn't include the second and third layers
of design, such as physical arrangement of organs, their specialized
purposes, and the invisible qualities like thought, and the programming
of emotions, conjecture, laughter, sadness, and so on:
TED - Animations of unseen biology

Certainly not by chance.
