#92034 — [OT] GTK3 Gnome global menu how?

Subject[OT] GTK3 Gnome global menu how?
Message-ID<20160810014735.41485280@maxa-pc>
There is no Gnome/Gtk group so I am asking how to make Gnome-shell
global menu. Nowhere on internet I can find answer and only way seems
to look into some Gnome3 app that does this. Gtk documentation also
points to classic menu bar, that's not what I am looking for.

That doesn't make comp.lang.c a good place for your question.

You might post a question on https://unix.stackexchange.com/

Hm, I just needed right term to search. They call it `application menu`
and voila...

Are the Gnome and/or GTK mailing lists defunct?

As Udyant points out, many projects use mailing lists.
(gmane conveniently provided a ML-to-NNTP gateway.)

http://www.gtk.org/mailing-lists.php

Perhaps. But the point I was making is: it's always better
to find the proper channel, than to add noise to a NG.
