Clutter.
How many such behaviors should the standard define? How many
optional __STD_NO_whatever__ macros would have to be predefined?
By how many pages would the standard have to expand in order to
define the semantics of all these optional features?
You should start collecting all your ideas for changes to the
standard and put them all together in one place. Start a blog,
or create a GitHub repo, or whatever. I don't suggest that this
would make it likely that they'd be adopted, but vague complaints
posted to a newsgroup, interspersed with accusations about the
motivations of committee members and gcc maintainers, aren't going
to get anything done.
