I think you need to read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", by
Douglas Adams. 42 is given as "the ultimate answer to life, the
universe, and everything". It's eventually discovered that the question
is "What do you get when you multiply six by nine", demonstrating that
there's something fundamentally wrong with the universe.
