I've kept everything because I agree with all of it...  No sensible code 
generation scheme has those lofty goals.

Regarding struct layout, there is also the not so small matter of 
interacting with any other parts of the host system or any third party 
libraries.  If you don't follow the the host ABI, your code it pretty 
much isolated to its own sandbox.
