I did not think that might happen! I thought that maybe they would simply be invisible. They appear to me as ^@ so they were really obvious. I don't even know if nulls are permitted in news articles, but Google certainly made the extra effort since it used a binary-safe transfer-encoding to send the message. <snip> -- Ben.
