#1826 — Multiplot, ensuring same y-sizes

I have a multiplot, 3 boxes in a vertical alignment.
The top box has a y-range of [0:1.4], the middle one
[0:2.5] and the bottom one [0:1.5].

The top and middle boxes come out with the same height,
but the bottom one is smaller. I don't give any other
size commands than the single one at the top,

set term postscript enh eps 30 size 5, 9

and later

set multiplot layout 3, 1

How do I ensure the same height for all three plots?

Sorry, I should have provided more information. Here is
a stripped down mini-example that does the same thing, albeit
not with as great differences in the heights as the real
script. Again the top two have the same height but the bottom
one is not as tall. I run this under bash.

gnuplot << eoi
set term postscript enh eps 24 size 4, 7
set output 'miniex.eps'
set notitle
set nokey
set logscale x
set xrange [1:100]
set format y "%.1f"
set multiplot layout 3, 1
set ylabel "a"
set yrange [0:1.4]
set ytics 0, 1, 1
plot 0.014014014*x - 0.014014014
set yrange [0:2.6]
set ytics 0, 1, 2.0
set nolabel
set ylabel "b"
plot 0.026026026*x - 0.026026026
set yrange [0:1.5]
set ytics 0, 1, 1.0
set nolabel
set ylabel "c"
set xlabel "x"
plot 0.015015015*x - 0.015015015
quit
eoi

The cause of that difference is this:

> set xlabel "x"

gnuplot has to reserve some space for that label, and because only the
bottom plot has this, it has less space for the rest of the graph than
the other two.

If you want to change that, you have several options:

1) add a xlabel (optionally a blank one) to the other two plots
2) fix the bmargin explicitly
3) use a different way of labelling that x axis.
