Hi

When I think slice, I think of the 2D slices through 3D data that matlab does - an example on Octave (free alternative to matlab) is given here:

http://octave.sourceforge.net/octave/function/slice.html

To my knowledge gnuplot can't do this, and octave, easyviz, etc ... might be better?
