For the first time in decades, the FCC’s authority to conduct spectrum auctions, which was granted by Congress in 1993, has expired. Wireless Equipment, Networks, and Infrastructure The FCC Releases a Draft Policy Statement on Receiver Performance. Samsung Requests a Waiver to Manufacture Devices Across Multiple Spectrum Bands. The FCC Takes Further Action to Increase the Security of Communications Networks. Other Agency Actions NTIA Releases its National Spectrum Strategy. The National Telecommunications Information Administration (“NTIA”) released its long-awaited National Spectrum Strategy, requesting comments on its development and implementation, by April 17.
