I have an Access 2013 database that displays a large form on open.

Initially, the autofilter feature worked great. Users could click the drop-down arrow at the field header and get a quick list of checkbox items.

However, when I added a multi-select (multiple value) list boxes, this feature disappeared from every field on the form.

I could understand if this happened with the multi-select fields -- but why did it disappear from ALL fields.

To double-check it was the multi-select fields causing the issue, I removed them from the table. Upon saving the table again WITHOUT the fields, the autofilter function returned.

The users like the autofilter checkboxes - they are NOT fond of the "text filters" option.

Is there a way to have both the multi-select fields AND the autofilter features?

Thanks in advance.

I wish I could help. What is an auto-filter? How is it called, initiated?

Does the listbox rowsource conflict with your filter I would think so.

Is this in a datasheet? What types of fields are on your form? What type of form is it? Single, continuous, datasheet? How many listboxes to you have? I'm trying to get a sense of the format and layout.
