I think this is a subdatasheet? I open up a table and to the left of the first field is a plus sign. If I click on the plus sign of the first record a list of 4records in a row selectable by a combo box is displayed. Now, if I click on the table and click Create Form/Datasheet, the form opens up but there is no plus (+) sign. Why is there no plus sign in a datasheet? This flooors me. I see no property listing for it. I'm not sure why it is displaying a combo box list of 4 records instead of a list of the items in the lookup table with checkboxes. Can anybody explain?

That appears to be a Lookup Field, with four possible values. > I'm not sure why it is displaying a combo box list > of 4 records instead of a list of the items in the > lookup table with checkboxes. I don't understand your question. Why do you expect "list of the items in the lookup table with checkboxes"? The lookup field _is_ 'working as designed'. > Can anybody explain? -- Larry Linson Microsoft Office Access MVP Co-Author, Microsoft Access Small Business Solutions, Wiley 2010

I have been puzzled by this myself in the past. I didn't know how to recreate an example, so I Googled it, and the following helpful item was top of the list: http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/plus-sign-table-records-t2409981.html Your results must be something to do with Relationships. -- Dave W
