Hello, and thanks, in advance, for any help provided by anyone. I'm a bit of a newbie at FilemakerPro, having dealt with Microsoft Access, for many years. I have two tables; the first contains uniquie site identifiers. This field is related, in a one-to-many relationship with another table. The second table contains records of multiple sites related to the sites in the first table. The names of all the sites are in the first table. The second table contains a site id field. These ids are the same as in the first table. I would like to be able to look up the Site Name in a field in the second table by matching the site id in the second table to the site id in the first table. table1::SiteID = table2:SiteID (one-to-many) table2::RX_Siteid are the same ids as in table1::SiteID If the table2::RX_Siteid is in the list of table1::SiteID; return the value in the table1:SiteName field that matches that table2::RX_Siteid Patrick

If I'm understanding correctly, you need a new Relationship linking
Table2 records back to Table1 using the RX_SiteID field.
e.g.
rel_Table2_to_1
Match records in Table 2 to records in Table1
when RX_SiteID = Table1::SiteID
Then, depending on what you're trying to achieve, you can either:
- put the related field rel_Table2_to_1::SiteName directly
on the Layout,
or
- create a field that copies the Site Name, it can be
either a Calculation Field or a Text Field with an
auto-enter by calculation option, but both would be
= rel_Table2_to_1::SiteName
