It will work as one file with multiple Tables, but I can't create that. Sorry, I only have the old FileMaker 4 and 5 versions (running on a "vintage" computer) which can't do single file multi-table databases. Helpful Harry :o)

It should also (hopefully) make it easier to understand the process, which in turn should make it easier to fix or add to if needed. Helpful Harry :o)

It's a PowerPC Mac that is nearly 20 years old, running a version of Mac OS X that is 13 years old. It can handle FileMaker 6, maybe 7 (I haven't checked the minimum system requirements), but nothing newer than that. Sorry. Helpful Harry :o)

FileMaker Pro 7's minimum system is Mac OS X 10.2.8, so you could run it if the need arose. FileMaker Pro 8 or later would require a newer Mac, or a third party hack to run an unsupported later Mac OS X version on your G3 (which would not be able to stretch as far as version 11). -- David Empson dempson@actrix.gen.nz

There is also the issue of getting the trial version. It would take days / weeks to download using my limited-time dial-up connection, although I might have a trial version on one of my many old magazine over CDs. > FileMaker Pro 8 or later would require a newer Mac, or a third party > hack to run an unsupported later Mac OS X version on your G3 (which > would not be able to stretch as far as version 11). I really wouldn't want to run a hacked and potentially unstable OS on this work computer*, plus it could mean other software / hardware I need won't run or work properly without being updated since I don't have the disk space for yet another OS to optionally boot into. * 10.2 is annoying enough when it decides to semi-randomly go to sleep mid-doing something and not wake up, requiring a full forced reboot. :o( Helpful Harry :o)
