I have a large DB of over 60K records.  I have another of about 2300. 
There are 325 records in the latter that I want to "export" to the
larger DB file.

I've done this a hundred times - no problem.  Now, when I go through
the routine, it tells me in the "Import Summary"
Total records added / updated 325
Total records skipped due to errors: 325
Total fields skipped due to errors: 0
Table created <none>

And no files are transferred.

When I try and save the exported file as tab-separated and begin the
process, it won't give me "matching names" highlighted so importing
would be NOT a good thing.

Any help here?

You don't say which version of FileMaker or computer operating system
you're using. 60,000 records is quite a lot and depending on what data
is being stored, maybe you're hitting the filesize limitations of one
or both.

You can always match import fields manually. It would be a bit painful
if there are a lot of fields, but FileMaker normally remembers the
previous order, so you may only have to do it once.

"Import records" imports records, not files.

A tab separated export has no column headers, i.e. no field names. Try
the merge format ("Serienbrief" if you're using the German version).
