Easy-peasy. That's what the Go To Field command is for.
i.e.
      Go To Field [MyField]

Since the field is empty, you don't need the "Select/Perform" option
turned on.

In normal fields the "Select/Perform" option will select (highlight)
the field's data ready for copying or typing over with new data. It
also has a handy trick with container fields by being able to play the
movie or sound stored in them (I've seen some databases that use it to
play a fanfare when opening the database for example, or play a sound
when a long data-processing script has finished).

Also, if you set-up the Tab order for the Layout appropriately via the
menu option in Layout Mode, then when in Browse or Find Modes you can
get from the first field to the second by pressing the Tab key - no
need to click in the third field first.
