I have not used MySQL with a FileMaker database, so I don't know how it
works. Those were only three different possible suggestions for the
problem.

The runtime (.exe) limitation may or may not be the problem. The
runtime version of FileMaker Pro is purpsely restricted in some ways
(no design functions, no network functions), otherwise big companies
could buy one copy of FilaMaker Pro and create runtime applciations
used by hundreds of people and the FileMaker Pro software itself would
have to be a LOT more expensive.
