One of the main selling points of HTML5 in general (not necessarily for
FileMaker) is the animation, etc. it can do which means finally getting
rid of the useless, buggy, resource hog called Adobe Flash.

Apple refusing to allow Flash on iOS devices and not installing it on
their Mac computers is adding to the push to get rid of Flash. Due to
it's infestation of the Internet, that will take a while, but many
places, including ones like YouTube, are moving to HTML5 already.
