As you probably know, several static-analysis tools have the ability to
detect possible race conditions, as accesses to unprotected shared
variables from two or more threads/tasks.
I have used the AdaControl tool for this (and other) analysis of Ada
code, and found real race conditions.
The tool-based race-condition analyses are most likely imperfect (for
example, because shared variables are accessed via pointers), but
nevertheless useful.
