I happened to come across a copy of SCO Professional for Xenix, a 1-2-3 clone from 1988. It works pretty well, but until I tried it out I was under the impression it was a licensed port not a clone! The reason I thought it was licensed is because I know there was a Xenix port of 1-2-3 announced: https://books.google.com/books?id=tjwEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA51#v=onepage&q&f=false Was the official Xenix port ever released? The menu layout in procalc is identical to 1-2-3 2.x, but the word "lotus" never appears anywhere. This is the welcome message procalc prints when you start it up, in case anyone is curious: ************************************ * * * SCO Professional * * ( 386 Version ) * * * * Portions Copyright (c) 1985-88 * * The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. * * Portions Copyright (c) 1985 * * VIP Technologies Corporation * * All Rights Reserved * * Version 2.0.0 * * sco001429 * ************************************ Tavis. -- _o) $ lynx lock.cmpxchg8b.com /\\ _o) _o) $ finger taviso@sdf.org _\_V _( ) _( ) @taviso

A copy was discovered on backup tapes from a 90s BBS. I was even able to get it to work on Linux, I wrote an article about it here: https://lock.cmpxchg8b.com/linux123.html Tavis. -- _o) $ lynx lock.cmpxchg8b.com /\\ _o) _o) $ finger taviso@sdf.org _\_V _( ) _( ) @taviso

I never used 1-2-3 much back in the day. I first started playing with spreadsheets on my Apple II using Appleworks. Played with 1-2-3 briefly when I eventually got an IBM PC clone. I might have to try this out on Linux just for fun.
