Well if you totally believe what Rod Speed says as anything to go by?

This is a newish not yet a 2 year old HP all in one PC.
Were not impressed with Win 10 either, which before the older PC
crashed was downgraded to a near win 11 rubbish anyhow

is all about update win11 your  pc may not meet 11 reqs, then the bit

I know for a fact my computer changed correctly without me touching
the settings last daylight saving time change,  Sunday, 4 October 2026
at 2:00 AM local standard time, clocks went or were set forward by 
1 hour to 3:00 AM.

I know this because it was the after ten am, Sunday I put the Bus stop
clock forward to right time.

Something went into my settings to turn off. When it worked. 
"Set time zone Automatically"

But the log file will tell you what changed that setting and when that  
happened

Like I'm interested, Windows 11 is ALWAYS doing crap like that without
explanation. 
I do have other things to than look a why Windows is broken junk.

have to do a "Network Reset" which invovles rebooting the Wi-Fi/Router
I leave it for 30 minutes. Efen do the "Network Reset" which takes
another 30 minutes. Of course "Rod Speed" will clam this never happens
to him (just everyonr rlse)
I run two Virus programs, "Ibternet Defender" + "SUPERAntiSpyware"

I run "SUPERAntiSpyware" manually but often.
Mainly to remove third party cookies, which are sold on to other
networks to get even more info about you, particularly your real email
address.

Yep. The amazing pleasures of relying on the Microslop OS!  LOL!

Luckily my OS does what I want it to do and when I want it to do it.
User friendly operating systems let the user with 'sudo" privileges 
determine the timing and the frequency of actual upgrades as well as 
allowing for the selection of what exactly should be upgraded. On tops 
the decision to reboot the system or not after the upgrade remains with 
the user.

On a user friendly OS you can lock down Wi-Fi access with a password.
No access possible until you supply the password!

Anywho, I see no reason to use Wi-Fi at home for my PCs/Laptops. I have 
multiple plug in access points (some of them via power points adaptors) 
for hooking up to the home network. Yes, my phone and tablet do require 
Wi-Fi access but these days I hardly ever use them when I am at home (I 
have not touched either of them at home for months)
And, yes, I still prefer to use a land-line home phone to that bloody 
mobile brain numbing addiction device! (BTW I blocked on that monster 
device every single social media cesspit site it wanted me to connect to 
right out of box)

How about getting a timer switch for the power outlet connected to your 
Wi-Fi router, Daniel??? That would solve your problem instantly.

True. That is a clearly the down side of that solution.
But it also stops instantly those 3-5 seconds long randomly incoming 
(automated?) calls where no one seems to say anything on the other side 
of the line waiting for someone verifying that the dialled number is 
real (fishing-scamming galore). When I retire for the night I don't need 
such nonsense disturbing my peace whatsoever! And those legit people 
whom I happy to speak to can surely wait till the next morning!
(I never go to bed earlier than 11 pm at night and no friends of mine 
will ever call me later than that.)
