https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-12-09/qld-middle-island-light-plane-crash-pilot-trial-les-woodall/104704578 Its completely stupid to claim that the result was the pilot's fault and not due to the engine failure. And pilots are not trained to keep going straight ahead on engine failure, they are actually trained to head for the safest place to land that the plane can get to after the engine failure. And its stupid to claim that a plane falls out of the sky when it stalls. The Cessna 172 involved in fact mushes and doesnt stall. And the pilot should never have been charged in the first place given that he wasnt responsible for the engine failure.

I assume there will be an appeal. Sylvia.

" Aviation experts called as witnesses during the trial all agreed Woodall went against best practice " I cant wait to see trial transcripts to find out who all these experts were, I would hope not all are in the employ of the commonwealth.
