I don't know who counted that number for you, but whatever the correct number is, it's rivalled by the number of people who have spelled "whoa" as "woah". But length ends in a th sound, just like in thing, third, think, etc. Changing it to lenght makes it very difficult to pronounce unless you're German. -- The Post Office just recalled their latest stamps. They had pictures of lawyers on them, and people couldn't figure out which side to spit on.

I'm not a native German speaker (although, I've been taught it at school) and "lenght" "sounds" better for me, more "natural" (so to speak). simon
