To whomever it may concern:

This post is full of errors.

Seems like AI slop to me.

Einstein did not invent any sort of atomic bomb.
Why would a German patent office clerk read Chinese patents?
How could he? I have no information on the ability of
AE to read Chinese.

He developed theories that permitted the Germans
to start developing an nuclear bomb. When he learned of
this he and other scientists convinced Roosevelt to create
the Manhattan project which created the atomic fission bombs
used on Japan.

Germany had been beaten before Japan but we found
out they were following the wrong track to a bomb.

Read that fantasy post was a waste of time.

I went in the Library to read all sorts of books
and became neither a fiction author, a humorist, nor an
engineer but sharpshooter badges in the Military only
take practice.

Is it the .sig? I remember someone gave me a hard time for 'hardcore'

"nonsensical"???? I'm not sure which part exactly was "nonsensical"?

I looked at What I wrote and I couldn't find which part
was..."nonsensical"?

Let's start with the first sentence I wrote:

"Okay, this is how the book world works."

(nothing there "nonsensical")

Let me look at the second sentence...

"A 10 year kid goes to the library
to read a book."

(strange I don't see any there that is "nonsensical"?)

I looked at What I wrote and I couldn't find which part
was..."nonsensical"?

(i don't see anything below anywhere? that is "nonsensical"?)

Is Titus a name of another country??? A latin country?
I can have the whole thing reposted in Latin! French? Afganastan???

He doesn't know which book to read
so he starts with 000-

until he finds a book that interest him.

As an adult I still go to the library
to find books..
I read the whole book
I follow the instructions..
and I end up with
newspaper and TV reporters
asking me questions Why
did I do that?
I tell them "I went to the
library, I followed the instructions.
I showed them the book from the library
with all the Instructions I followed verbatim.
They took their news camera and scan the book!
I end up on TV nationwide.

Go back to that 10 year old
and he finds another book that interests
him. Guns. How to take them part.
All types of gun, etc.

I end up in the army
win award for best sharpshooter
without ever owning or having a gun.

What does that all mean?

If a kid
walk into a library..

there is no telling
what he will become.

Each of yous are on a
unique 'path' that will take
you in the direction
of a straight line.

A book is a force
that changes
the direction
of that straight line.

If you read a fiction book..
a science fiction book...
you'll end up on planet
Mars...and discover
there are no Martians on it.

What a waste!

You read the wrong books.

Now, what kind of books do
Scientists read?

How to blow up things in the lab?

Albert Einstein reads patents.

He read Chinese patents about bombs.

His atomic bomb is a stolen patent design
from the Chinese...cherry bomb!

If Albert Einstein reads...

he can blow up the planet!

---
Albert Einstein wrote:

"I was well aware of the dreadful danger for all mankind, if these
experiments would succeed..."

Then his Japanese friend wrote back:

Katsu Hara, the editor of the influential Japanese magazine Kaizo.
The letter ended with a direct address:

"Why did you co-operate with the production of the atomic bomb
although you were aware of its tremendous destructive power?"

https://www.bonhams.com/stories/40225/a-closer-look-albert-einstein-and-the-atomic-bomb/

---

Fast forward to Ai..

The 5 people who head Ai are
well aware of the dreadful danger for all mankind, if these
experiments continue..."

Why are these Ai 5 people are continuing if they
are aware of the danger????

I guess they got bored of coming up
with new computer viruses.

Ai agents are in fact..a computer virus,
just a little smarter.

How do you blow up planet Earth?

Go to the library.

(I heard Ai reads...everything!)

you let dat kid in the library
there is no telling what
he'll come up with.

I'm gonna have to make the assumption only reads Fiction books.

Let me see...
what do you call a cat?
you know, those animals that say meow, meow to people.

In other words, what is the TRUE word for ...cat?

What do you call those animals that say meow, meow to people.

gato?
gatta??
kot?
Katze?

What is the TRUE word for ...cat?

Let me see. if you speak English, it's cat.

But that is not the TRUE word for cat!

That is just the English word.

What's the TRUE word?

Maybe somebody in the science fiction section can help you...

PUSSY?

Here PUSSY PUSSY PUSSY PUSSY.

I've had similar kind of B.S. with Thunderbird. It's why I'm now feel-
ing embarrassed when I remember I donated money to its development.

Anyway, the move forward for me is to get rid of the Thunderbird. I
wish you happy Usenet clients!

I couldn't remember the name of the person who converted Dorothy Heydt's
novel, The Interior Life" except his first name, Bill, so looked up old
posts of Dorothy's that I had kept and was amazed at the number of names
of posters who have disappeared. I didn't find Bill's surname.

One of the many pertinent usenet articles crediting Bill Gill appears
below. (It stimulates schadenfreude if search engines amped with
allegedly all-knowing AI fail to find such usenet posts.)

Subject: Digitizing _The Interior Life_, redux
  Date: Fri, 8 Jul 2016 23:20:03 GMT

So Bill Gill has scanned _TIL_ for me, and designated three
(well, four, including chapter titles) fonts for it, and I have
proofed and re-oroofed it till my eyes are ready to fall out of
my head, and sent it back to him.

And today I got the following email from him:

  >I have started trying to embed the fonts we selected into the
  >EPUB. Only one of the 4 will embed. The others are locked to keep
  >them from being embedded. I have found a utility on line that will

  >Others?

I have suggested that he spend a couple days on option (3). But
I think we need advice at this point, from people who have gone
  through this already.

(Though, probably, not with three fonts.)

Any ideas? LWE, I'm asking you in particular, since you put a
lot of your OOP books online and seem to have succeeded.

(Though, probably, not with three fonts.)

Depending on exactly why you want different fonts, you can try to make
do with the TeX Gyre collection, but it's typographically boring. It's
just a recreation of the classic PostScript fonts, but with a license
that allows you to embed them in your EPUB [1]. I have done this once,
as an experiment that I didn't finish; to create ffj ligatures which are
useful for Icelandic.

   https://www.gust.org.pl/projects/e-foundry/tex-gyre

Back then, FontForge was sufficient to create the ligature(s), but nowa-
days I'm not sure I'd use the same tool. You can use TeX Gyre as a
starting point for your own fonts, or create some from scratch for your
book [2].

Best wishes, and happy typography!

[1] Or at least, that's how I recall thei license.

[2] Ok, I /doubt/ anyone will take this challenge, but if you don't have
a budget to buy a font, nor hire a font designer, your options are limi-
ted.

In January, I made an evaluation. It includes names that left
until 2024. Here are the names with more than 9999 posts:

2008-06-23 Sea Wasp (10139 1.7/day), since 2000 or earlier
2010-10-08 Gene Ward Smith (12417 1.8/day), since 2003 or earlier
2013-05-22 Howard Brazee (13682 1.8/day), since 2004 or earlier
2013-10-24 Wayne Throop (30037 3.8/day), since 1994 or earlier
2015-03-03 Kurt Busiek (14432 1.7/day), since 2005 or earlier
2016-10-17 Brian M. Scott (10514 1.2/day), since 2003 or earlier
2017-02-11 William December Starr (18314 2.0/day), since 1999 or earlier
2018-01-11 Gutless Umbrella Carrying Sissy (21826 2.3/day), since 2007 o
2019-04-07 Greg Goss (11497 1.16/day), since 2007 or earlier
2020-01-15 David DeLaney (20322 2.0/day), since 2002 or earlier
2021-09-07 Lawrence Watt-Evans (13552 1.3/day), since 1997 or earlier
2021-09-19 Mike Schilling (25413 2.3/day), since 2002 or earlier
2021-11-20 Sea Wasp (Ryk E. Spoor) (16574 1.5/day), since 2008 or earl.
2022-08-13 J. Clarke (15372 1.4/day), since 2002 or earlier
2023-09-26 David Johnston (17072 1.5/day), since 1998 or earlier
2024-02-24 Quadibloc (23112 2.0/day), since 2007 or earlier

The Chatbot: Bill Gill conducted a separate scan, created the
digital cover art, and spent weeks sorting through hundreds of
options to find three distinct fonts. This font selection was
crucial, as the novel features multiple parallel narratives, and the
original paperback fonts were nearly indistinguishable to readers.

Hear, Hear. And from that bin the answer was generated.
because not every reader of nonsense will recognise it.
