When you PLONK everybody...there's no one left in your pool to be seen.

I have never 'plonked' anyone.

However, there are many who I don't feel are often worth responding to.

I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about the...missing person.

The missing person stops posting because he sees no postings.

Maybe he is traveling or has gotten sick of the
ignorant stuff people were writing. AS well as the
Trollish cross-postings
I will plonk but my filters are reduced because
I had a problem and had to rename my old Thunderbird
directory then mine it with Betterbird very carefully to
get the new installation working...
Then I copied the stuff from Betterbird to backups which
I load in Thunderbird. The old profile was fubar so
I could not load it into the Thunderbird directly
without the risk of messing up the fresh install.
Not a procedure I would wish on anyone
else but someone who might be doing horrible
things otherwise. I might have been cooking something
if I had not spent yesterday evening working on
this stuff.

You have message this person allegedly wrote? I'd prefer to see it with
my own eyes, Stargozer.

Here is a sample of Mr.Person's writing.
I have many other examples but I am having trouble
copying them so here is the first one I found.
Once I copied this one I was able to find the other
messages up until about September 1. I did it with Thunderbird.

I still have my Undocumented books (DOS, PC, Windows) and, somewhere a
very popular in its day list of IRQs that I downloaded at some point.

/Undocumented Windows/ pointed out that, as Windows evolved (this was
mostly about the 16-bit versions), Microsoft re-organized the APIs it
provided but left a stub in the original DLL to transfer the call to
whatever DLL it was now in.
I once used that to demonstrate that even a system that was clearly
designed could have "junk DNA" (superfluous code) in it.
This, of course, was back when "junk DNA" was Proof Positive against
people being designed.

Now there is no "junk DNA"; indeed, the difference between Man and
Monkey appears to be all about the former "junk DNA", which kind of
blows a hole in gene theory, as the non-genes appear to be more
important than the genes in some respects.

Thank you for that website. I also have Undocumented DOS, PC, and Win-
dows. Err, /Windows Internals/ and /DOS Internals/; I hope you're talk-
ing about the same books.

They're highly interesting, still; I only got mine recently.

I've not gotten around to read the later /Windows Internals/ books, nor
do I have a copy here; so that'll wait a while.

Best wishes, and happy book collections!

I took the liberty of removing sci.physics.relativity, and add rec.coll-
ecting.books instead.

But ... but ... but

-- if they do it "right" in the sense of following JRRT's story, it
will not agree with the other films, which tell PJ's version.
-- if the do it "right" in the sense of being compatible with PJ's

It cannot be "right" in both senses.

=46or example:
-- in JRRT's story, the Hobbits obtain their swords from the
Barrow-Wights barrow
-- in PJ's story, the Hobbits obtain their swords from Aragorn, who
(presumably) went to the nearest cache of Hobbit-sized swords and
brought four back (one must imagine many such sites scattered
throughout the North for this to work) to Weathertop

So either they don't get their swords in the barrow, in which case the
film will be missing an important scene from the book, or PJ's film is

wrong! wrong! wrong!

which, of course, it is in many ways.

Perhaps the Syndicate didn't explain. While we're out here, you're
supposed to be my subordinate. You can't even see the pictures on the
cover of the books in the Adult section. It follows that I would ask for
the visual information to be relayed, Stargozer. Take off your full body
brain-scan machine & look to the details of the inquiry. I don't need
your antipodal machinations. You can seek power grabs in your next post
playing the dumb stupid clown on Usenet. But while we're out here, on MY
mission, you will be subordinate, prole. Now get back in your machine &
hook up & get the stuff done.

I understand that Fiction books may have pictures on it's cover...

but you may never have heard the expression before...

"You Cannot Tell A Book By It's Cover."

Any 13 year old when he walks in a Libary...the fiction books section
doesn't have pictures in it.

Why bother reading it? IT'S FICTION!

Let me put it this way..

there are on average 4 million books published every year...

i don't have time to read them all...

which ones should i read?

"Invasion of the Flying Saucers"?

WAT DA FUCK IS WRONG WIT YOUS PEOPLE?? YOUS READING ALL THE WRONG BOOKS!

"Moby Dick"??

fag stories.

Go ahead, go over to a girl and ask her..."Did you read the book 'Moby's
DICK'?

Side note, apparently, when Moby Dick is used in a classroom, it's com-
mon to ask for the name of the narrator.

It's also common for the students to completely miss it, based on early
internet memes.

Who needs to read the first sentence in a book?

Sniggers. (Tempted to add them back in.)
Doesn't "Call me Ishmael" now mean that the speaker is perhaps not who

My apologies. Life, with its recent challenges, has not made it easy

Dick, STUPID!"

I'll say, I haven't read the book but I saw a picture on the cover and
it's
some guy in the water with this real BIG THING!

Get a copy. Read Chapter 95, 'The Cassock'.

It is literally about whale dick, and the use it's put to on a whaling

Okay, this is how the book world works.

A 10 year kid goes to the library
to read a book.

He doesn't know which book to read
so he starts with 000-

until he finds a book that interest him.

As an adult I still go to the library
to find books..
I read the whole book
I follow the instructions..
and I end up with
newspaper and TV reporters
asking me questions Why
did I do that?
I tell them "I went to the
library, I followed the instructions.
I showed them the book from the library
with all the Instructions I followed verbatim.
They took their news camera and scan the book!
I end up on TV nationwide.

Go back to that 10 year old
and he finds another book that interests
him. Guns. How to take them part.
All types of gun, etc.

I end up in the army
win award for best sharpshooter
without ever owning or having a gun.

What does that all mean?

If a kid
walk into a library..

there is no telling
what he will become.

Each of yous are on a
unique 'path' that will take
you in the direction
of a straight line.

A book is a force
that changes
the direction
of that straight line.

If you read a fiction book..
a science fiction book...
you'll end up on planet
Mars...and discover
there are no Martians on it.

What a waste!

You read the wrong books.

Now, what kind of books do
Scientists read?

How to blow up things in the lab?

Albert Einstein reads patents.

He read Chinese patents about bombs.

His atomic bomb is a stolen patent design
from the Chinese...cherry bomb!

If Albert Einstein reads...

he can blow up the planet!

---
Albert Einstein wrote:

"I was well aware of the dreadful danger for all mankind, if these
experiments would succeed..."

Then his Japanese friend wrote back:

Katsu Hara, the editor of the influential Japanese magazine Kaizo.
The letter ended with a direct address:

"Why did you co-operate with the production of the atomic bomb
although you were aware of its tremendous destructive power?"

https://www.bonhams.com/stories/40225/a-closer-look-albert-einstein-and-the-atomic-bomb/

---

Fast forward to Ai..

The 5 people who head Ai are
well aware of the dreadful danger for all mankind, if these
experiments continue..."

Why are these Ai 5 people are continuing if they
are aware of the danger????

I guess they got bored of coming up
with new computer viruses.

Ai agents are in fact..a computer virus,
just a little smarter.

How do you blow up planet Earth?

Go to the library.

(I heard Ai reads...everything!)

you let dat kid in the library
there is no telling what
he'll come up with.

The danger is from unguided AI. Some people are in labs where they
usually blow things up, instead they are making AIs that will do your
hacking. They are making AIs that will expose data @ Sony. All kinds of
mock up AIs are in the laboratory. They're not talking about Claude or
Gemini when they shiver with fright.

This is why they are continuing with 'official' AIs such as Meta &
Midjourney. Efforts are being made to derail & sabotage these people who
aren't taking care while constructing their AI. If you need a handy
reference, all AI lessor than Siri are considered fraudulent.
