No idea.  I don't think Canadians ever paid her much attention.  That 
was a time of liberal and progressive prime ministers who didn't have a 
lot in common with Reagan.

LOL.  Is your town full of paranoid people?

Knowing that someone is Reagan's former speech writer isn't nosy IMO. 
Nor is it nosy to know that a certain person in town was a teacher when 
they still worked. If people peered at that ex-teacher through slits in 
the curtains all the time or went through the teachers bin when placed 
out for collection, or asked repeated questions about where the teacher 
went, that is very nosy.
