The Halloween documents comprise a series of confidential Microsoft
memoranda on potential strategies relating to free software, open-source
software, and to Linux in particular, and a series of media responses to
these memoranda. Both the leaked documents and the responses were
published by open-source software advocate Eric S. Raymond in 1998.

The documents are associated with Halloween because many of them were
originally leaked close to October 31 in different years.

It seems like only yesterday.

When Balmer was just a small boy... and not very sweaty.

Penny candy were $0.03 each.

Only Cher looks exactly the same.

Barbara Streissand had not only the looks but also the voice that
literally hundreds of chest-pounding apes have tried to match

How small a boy? I mean he never grew up. When he was born gas was 30
cents and we washed the road gum off cars with it
