In addition to a couple of hundred others. I just need to take the
time to organize them.

Lazy, OTOH, is too easy.

Kill chromium or shutdown and they all come back when you run it
again.

Yes, that's pretty much why I use tabs.

Feedly, the news reader gathers all my news sources and places them into
one window. I mostly browse the headlines. Most news sources are
publishing the same insightless garbage as their competitors. And they
all think it is BIG news that Apple might have a 4" phone coming up.
Hardly news worthy.

I'd rather read a book and learn something than waste my day on the
trash of the day.

Right. I'm doing research, and as someone said elsewhere I don't want to
have to recreate my search trail. The newsreader's just the beginning...

For years I was wondering why so many tabs open?

And then I started observing a market place and keeping the individual
offers open in tabs...

Since about a year I might have 50-70 tabs opened, I also use a nesting
plug in (Tree style tab) that keeps them nicely organised and I've yet
to see a problem or instability.

Chrome is a Google tool so I'm also using Chromium but with so many tabs
that thing eats too much RAM.

But then there is Lynx :)

Hey, watch it. :)

I still use Lynx (and Links) on a daily basis. Don't laugh. :)

If you like a vampire browser that sucks all your memory and is a
nightmare to shut down when it crashes... (and it does) ...a process for
each tab... Jeez!)

Using google products is right in there (the corporate 'there') with
using windoze products.

The only google products I use are Google for search and YouTube.

I opened it in Chromium as the 14th tab open. It's still right there
behaving normally while I watch a movie on youtube. No additional
resources are being consumed.

It is interesting to see that Exxon is still Esso in other parts of
the world.

If you did more crossword puzzles, you'd know that - frequently the clue
would be something as lame as "Exxon in Canada", etc.

Who were they, Standard Oil of Indiana or New Jersey?
No googling... ;)

All I know that they put a Tiger In Your Tank with high octane gas
back in the 60s and 70s, and and a tiger tail on an elastic band you
could put around your gas tank's fill spout was available for True
Believers.

So, a dozen or so bees are flying down a road in Canada. After a
while they decide they need to stop and refuel. So the swarm pulls
into a Sunoco station, all but a lone bee who goes into the ESSO
station across the street.

Wait for it...

As we all know, there's an ESSO bee in every crowd.
