You are right. From now on, *you* (and a few of your compatriots) are only
allowed to purchase a *FORD FOCUS*. No other choices for *you*.

You're going from one extreme to the other. There is no reason for
GNU/Linux distributions to package software in a number of different
ways. If everything, for instance, were in .deb, programmers could
create a number of different package managers to handle a .deb but
there is no reason for us to suffer through .rpm, .deb and all of the
other types which are exclusive to one distribution or its variants.
Hell, .deb doesn't even work on all Debian-based distributions as
idiotic as that is. It's not choice, it's anarchy.

Wow, what a clever reply, did you make that up all by yourself?
Be honest did you? No of course not, you just copied such a silly
misplaced reply from some others that could not come up with any
argument either.
If you Linux fanatics would make a car you would have switched the place
for the brake pedal and gas pedal, make the car go left when the steering
wheel was turned to the right all for that sake of choice. Speaking of
choice, your Linux car would be available in red, which have no engine
Or one could opt for a blue one which have no wheels.
None of those Linux cars have a heater because customers can easily surf
the internet go trough a couple of hundredth places to learn how they can
make such heater by themselves.

Lying dumbshit As long as there is real choice and healthy
competition, people can *choose* the products that perform the way
they want, and idiotic designs will be rejected by the market. No
"dictator" or bickering about which products should be offered on the
market is required.

Anyway, you're obviously too stupid to understand.

I'm sorry to have allowed the trolls to drag me into that cola group
where they all seem to reside. I'll watch crossposts from now on, I
swear!

It's a minor issue. They seem to make it over to here pretty well no matter
what :-(

Things don't seem to have changed much in my absence. Most of the names
are the same.

I am pleased to see a certain annoying P o s t e r has (seemingly)
buggered off, though.

Cheers,
Andy.

His lingo was distinctive too (for lack of a better term) so I do not
think he puppeted back in either.

Key word is ALMOST.
And only for some distros ootb.

The SOLUTION is to get Nvidia to do what they do for their primary markets.
They supply fully functional, debugged, supported drivers for their
cards.
They would gladly do that for desktop linux if they thought they
could make a buck (net after support costs) off the effort.
Since desktop linux doesn't exist, that would be hard for them to
accomplish.
With such a fragmented, and non-existent, according to you,
desktop linux market, they can't.

It's not technical it's business/economics.
