Has anyone else not received updates on the slackware-security mailing
list since July 17 ?

The list's archive shows more recent messages, but it seems they haven't
reached me. Something wrong at my end or... anyone else seeing the same?

I'm supposedly subscribed, have not received an email in quite some
time. The list server may be having issues somewhere.

18/7 was the last time here re php and httpd
Pats mailouts always were days and days after he actually publishes the
update, mostly thats majordomo, sometimes its Pat :)

After checking my procmail logs, I can confirm that. I had probably
deleted those last 2 messages because they weren't relevant to this
particular installation. So, July 18 is it.

problem identified in missing mails, someones fscked up SPF

Recipient address rejected: Please see http://www.openspf.net/Why?
s=mfrom;id=owner-slackware-security%40slackware.com;ip=64.57.102.36

slackware.com descriptive text "v=spf1 include:succeed.net -all"

succeed.net descriptive text "v=spf1 ip4:64.57.96.0/24
a:billing.succeed.net a:corp.succeed.net -all"

So succeed.net is not allowing "connie" to send mail, hence we reject
slackwares mail :)

Just a followup, Pat has replied to me advising the SPF issue should now
be fixed!

I received the bind one from yesterday.

I'm not sure he has the mailing process automated. ON the other mailing
list, I forget the specific title, I've gotten a handful of email in 3 or
4 years, including one where he says "I was reminded that I ought to post
here that there's a new release of Slackware".

There's been a constant stream of updates to the changelog for security
reasons, so it seems more likely the information isn't getting mailed out.

The slackware-announce list is very quiet. slackware-security might be
automated or partly automated. But either way, it wouldn't explain why
some subscribers received the email and others didn't. Perhaps those
who didn't were having trouble with their addresses and majordomo
suspended their subscription? (I know Mailman can do that.)

It uses majordomo, so nothing out of the ordinary, it can be often well
lagged, and use to die more often than not, it's why most people moved to
mailman, though I (and others) still favour ecartis (listar).

I've received three within the last week.

The last Slackware-security messages I received were:
  2015-08-29 mozilla-firefox (SSA:2015-241-01)
  2015-09-01 gdk-pixbuf2 (SSA:2015-244-01)
  2015-09-02 bind (SSA:2015-245-01)
  2015-09-03 seamonkey (SSA:2015-246-01)

Looks like the mailing list is still going and current.
