You've got 30 WorkSpaces open [from jobs accumulated over 3 weeks].
You need to umount and detach a USB from /dev/fat1.

`lsof | grep fat1 ` shows:
mc        21825  ...   /mnt/fat1/HG/partns.no/Legal
bash      21827  ...   /mnt/fat1/HG/partns.no/Legal

kde3 together with `pstree` was able to show which WorkSpace,
but apparently kde4 is made for the FB/twitter kiddies?

OTOH `blackbox` the *GOOD*  windowManager does show the
WorkSpace of the active one-of-two panels of each `mc`.
But not the inactive side -- which is still holding the USB.

`xwininfo` tells a lot, but doesn't seem to lead to showing the
WorkSpace-tree, which kde3+pstree gave; so that when the
target pid was seen to be in the same WS as some "prominent"
program, you'd found the WS.

Please boys, lets solve this problem!
