I haven't specifically had problems w/ Ventoy sticks, but over the years of writing .iso/s to USB, I've encountered 'problems' w/ recovering or formatting a USB stick. Rufus does a better job than almost anything else for problems. It has been years since I've had to 'zero' a USB stick. I'm not 'intimidated' by problems formatting a USB. Until they die, which can also happen. I doubt that Ventoy can kill a stick. I saw that fullcircle mag. First, Adam sounds like he doesn't have as much experience writing .iso/s to USB as I have; and I didn't agree w/ one of his sentences about V' docs "The official documentation is complex and confusing," But, Adam was way ahead of AuntieE in terms of handling V. who said, "It also seems impossible to find out what version of Ventoy I have." Not at all. It is also very easy to update V. Adam explained to AuntieE who did NOT make an adequate trouble report about the partition situation. Depending on the formatter, sometimes multiple partitions make a USB formatter 'confused' or at least throwing up an alert about it. As Adam said to AuntieE:"It is worth noting that Ventoy leaves the USB stick with two partitions, a large storage partition in exFat format, and a small (32 MB) EFI boot partition in FAT16 format," -- Mike Easter
