My TV card supplier got the drivers to compile and the modules to show without errors in dmesg, during the night. This was handled via teamviewer. Unfortunately, the techie didn't explain what he had done. However I was then able to install and test kaffeine. It has exactly the same problems that I found with kaffeine 2.0.4 under Kubuntu 16.04. These were reported to KDE via bugzilla. I have just updated it with my experience under Mageia 6 sta1. the number is # 371540. -- Mageia 5 for x86_64, Kernel:4.4.16-desktop-1.mga5 KDE version 4.14.5 on an AMD Phenom II X4 Black edition.
