Irene Cara's now brings on Ken Lay,who the database credits as "founder" of Enron and uninterruptedly CEO until 2002... actually,he was head of Houston Natural Gas from shortly before InterNorth bought it,and in the merger managed to get the board to make him CEO in place of InterNorth's Sam Segnar to whom he had become second-in-command...and toward the end of his accounting games he had stepped down as CEO in favor of Jeffrey Skilling, only to have to resume the post when Skilling tried quitting before the bankruptcy as a means of escaping the consequences (he got nailed anyway, and when Lay died Lay's share of the financial penalties was reassigned to Skilling by the courts). >>>>> -=-=- >>>>> The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again, >>>>> at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.

Cara's addition to the died-younger-than-me (she did not live forever, even if we remember her name) drives Deacon off with Jean-Claude Duvalier next on the chopping block. I note that Fernando Valenzuela died ten days short of 64, so in the current zone of older-than-me's...if David adds him to the DOADB (he is not on the site at all now, apparently) he might supersede Lay pro tempore even as I catch Audrey Hepburn. >>>>>> -=-=- >>>>>> The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again, >>>>>> at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.

Drawing alongside Rafferty brings Lorenzo Music into view
among my elders, while Earl Anthony disappears in my wake.

Next in my sights is Mickey Mantle, about a month away...and
I note that (not in the database) Hank Steinbrenner is among
the other 63-year-olds I have already outlived, sharing of course
a Yankees connection with Mantle,as well as having died from a
disease of the liver.(I have already outlived Mantle's original
liver, replaced in a transplant shortly before his death).

I have overtaken Mantle, with Nelson Riddle now appearing at the
far end of my elders, beyond Music.
Next up,Valenzuela.

Not sure how much overlap there is between your database and that used by dead.atyourage.com (I hope theirs was saved somewhere) or of the relative sizes. -=-=- The World Trade Center towers MUST rise again, at least as tall as before...or terror has triumphed.
