I wouldn't think that many real romans were ever in Britain, most of the
'settlers' would have been retired legionaires, from other countries, who
retired there.

(There was advice in some roman text "Do not buy slaves from britain, they
are lazy, and will steal from you." (cant remember the source).)

The issue is not about the various invaders that have amalgamated into us,
ut
the retention of absolute power by the spawn of Normans, Greeks and Germans
against the greater interest of the people.

I have my own family's interest at heart and not that of the Great Parasite
of Windsor, Lilibet.

So, what are you waiting for? Other nations have abolished monarchy, you
can choose between the French way (Off with their heads), the Italian
way (peaceful exile), the Rumenian way (non-peaceful exile) or the
Indian way (just do the legal stuff, and let the monarch roam along).

The idea of `constitutonal (sp?) monarchy' is that the monarch can
represent `the country' rather than whatever politician has climbed
the greasy pole to the top. I suppose like the USians regard `old glory'
the same..
Our president her would be roughly the same, but elected).

The present period in England, if the Queen dies, is roughly comparable
to that of the later stages of GeorgeIII's reign, when his son, who
seems to have been an idiot, discredited the crown, which was restored
in reputation by Victoria, Writers agree that was when the UK was nearest
to becoming a republic.

The monarchy is such a greasy pole built on centuries of murder, death,
wars, religious persecution, torture, stealing lands and properties.

Name a government that isn't.
