Lack of vandalism on a university campus would be more notable. "dog
bites man" isn't news, "man bites dog" is news.

And here I thought there were chalk outlines around the bodies of protesters
lying own, so that people panicked later thinking an atomic bomb had dropped on
the University and they didn't notice.

But I _can_ almost understand people who need emergency counselling upon
learning that there are people who want Donald Trump to become President in
2016 walking among them. He is obviously not a good choice, and I'm not sure
where I can move to, from Canada, should he be elected President, as
interstellar travel is not yet an available option.

Someone recently pointed out that Mexico would be a better choice than
Canada since it'll be on the other side of Trump's wall. Then again,
Canada may build its own wall:

No need to build a wall with the election of the first Canadian
president of the United States :)

When a Trump presidency started to become a real possibility I thought a
little bit about what would happen if it actually become true. He has a
lot of experience dealing with diverse people and the US congress might
just be shaken up enough to lose some of the obstructionist tactics.

A lot of people thought what a disaster that Little Ronnie Ray Gun would
be during his primaries. All in all he did work out reasonably well.

OTOH, let's just say I'm very glad there was no chance of that.

The loss of short term memory helps. Reagan's presidency had a lot of
problems. Iran Contra, Invasion of Grenada, Nicaragua Policy. People
have forgiven him for quite a lot.

Too radical by far.

He has a

But none with dealing with any politicians.

and the US congress might
> just be shaken up enough to lose some of the obstructionist tactics.

Only if he wants to do what they want to see done.

Yes, it is certainly possible that he might well want to
drastically slash all the non military stuff that government
currently does and even scrap obamacare completely etc.

But that is very unlikely to happen with Mexico and moslems particularly
this time.

politicians?

He touted such experience "dealing" with politicians in Florida: he paid
them to pass a law allowing him build the casino(?) he wanted. My first
thought was to say that wouldn't help him as POTUS, but I realized that
is the very essence of pork, so maybe he'd fit in after all.

Nothing even remotely like what would be needed to
get Congress to do what they didn’t already want to do
like stop all muslims from coming into the country, kick
out all those already in the country, force Mexico to pay
for the wall between Mexico and the US.

Fact remains.
No hits on panic at emory university.
Other than the whacko site this started with.

If I was to believe that nutso article, I'd come to the conclusion that
Trump posters all over the campus (not vandalism), caused some concern.

Unlike some, the words panic and concern don't mean the same thing to me.

Try emory trump triggering though and you get 193,000.

And I learned a new use for an old word, "triggering", which seems to be
the latest buzzword among protest junkies.
