I am not quite sure if a President Cruz or a President Trump is the mosre scary prospect. Cruz has some quite extremist views on several issues, while Trump is erratic, populist, but will probably be containable. Cruz, not so much. -- mrr

That's why Romney just filed to run: the GOP establishment doesn't like _any_ of the candidates running, so they figure Romney is their best bet to unify the delegates when Trump fails in the first ballot. McConnell won't even allow a vote on whether Cruz is a natural-born citizen, which would instantly end the dozen lawsuits to keep him off the ballot in Nov; compare to McCain, who was unanimously declared eligible by the Senate--including all of the Senators (from both parties!) who were running against him. I think the Black Panthers did a lot of good (as well as some bad).
And were in many ways predecessors to today's "Second Amendment"
partisans, except that I haven't heard of the latter running meals
programs for poor people.
IME the term "social justice warrior" ("SJW") immediately identifies
the speaker as rightwing, much as use of the term "wingnut" identifies
the speaker as liberal or leftwing.

community), "politically correct" was a humorous reference to
communist circles where someone might profess a position that was
"politically correct" (rather than actually correct) out of expediency

CN had a Lyndon Johnson ad that only appeared on e or twice. It featured a
moderate Republican (we would have called him A Rockafeller Republican)
state reasons why he was supporting Johnson instead of Goldwater. One
thing he said in the ad was that he was afraid that Goldwater would start a
war. I was very disappointed that Lemmon didn't ask him something like "in
hindsight, looking at what Johnson did in Vietnam, would you make the same
choice today?"

For example, before discussing _Huckleberry Finn_ in An English class the professor is expected to warn the students that they might find mention of slavery so intense that they might not be able to take it. The students who might have "problems" can then skip the class(es). The same sort of thing applies to feminist issues and a whole list of other things that I can't recall just now. If the professor fails to warn the students they protest and, in some cases, get him or her removed. College used to be a place where students were exposed to a lot of different points of view, and few objected to hearing opinions that differed from their owm. No longer, apparently. -- Pete
