Unfortunately, the government, like other big businesses still insist on using Windows. Hillary should not have used her personal email, but no one broke into her server. Politicians have reacted to the threat of an audit trail by switching to verbal instructions, Post-it notes, and personal mail servers. One politician tried to rationalize the deletion of e-mails, saying that they process 230 million messages a year. My response to this is that I could walk down to the local computer store and for 100 bucks buy an external hard drive that would hold it all. I was told all of our email storage for several hundred people would be a few kilobytes of space per person. I pointed out that hard drives are in the thousands of dollars now, it not the early 1990s. They didn't like that reminder. Of course, me offering to give them 25 cents for a new hard drive probably didn't cheer them up either. -- JimP.
