Technology has advanced a bit since than, but the only things humans have built to last that long have been the pyramids, which are a bit heavy for a space launch. -- Pete

It was my attempt at acknowledging that I knew spindizzies were from the stories that made up the book "Cities in Flight", without outright saying the title. So anyone who knew the book would see what was going on, but otherwise it would remain a mystery. Spindizzies are invented in a lab, and then some time later they mount them on the land where various cities exist, and then disconnect that land from the earth, and the cities go off in flight to all sorts of places in space, "Okies" going from place to place working for hire. Yes. I knew someone, who was under ten, who said something about it,
and I was sure it wsa either something she'd made up, or had heard about
it as some sort of fiction.
Then either on the radio, or maybe I was just looking at an atlas, and
there was Waga Waga, in Australia. I couldn't believe it.
It's a place, but named after a group of Australian aboriginals.
Wikipedia says the actual name had been Wakawaka, which I thought was what
Fozzie the Bear said on The Muppet Show.

Been a *long* time since I read "Cities in Flight" (although it's in my
SF collection in what I rather grandiously refer to as 'the library'.)
