Too many have been killed. If the free travel treaty between the Irish Republic and the UK is kept, and there is not reason not to, then you will not need a passport. If the Norway-Sweden border is any example there are samples taken. The last 50 times I was crossing I showed ID (driver's license) 3 times. In all cases we had surges of refugees arriving; there were 30+ on the incoming trains I was on, so the customs (NOT police) did ID checks to sort out this mess. If you didn't have any ID you were questioned informally about your home and work until it was probable you were a resident. >Things are moving too fast, people need time to adjust. >Main thing at the moment is that the main transit of a british outlook >to the EU is Ireland. >The start of the break-up of the British Empire was in Dublin in 1916. There's a difference between BAH's
"The EU in Brussels is corrupt"
and your
"Three quarters of Europeans surveyed for the study said that
corruption was widespread".
Particularly with the caveat (from TFA):
"National governments, rather than EU institutions, are chiefly responsible for fighting
corruption in the EU."
And TFA shows that the majority of survey
respondents alleging corruption were from six countries:
Greece, Spain, Romania, Italy, Slovakia and Portugal.
And five people in the UK claimed to have been expected
to pay a bribe (out of 1115 respondents).

I never did, but there were occasions when it was clearly expected (both city employees and private business doing state auto inspections). So I guess that means that the USA is corrupt beyond redemption.

Attempting to Remain required extreme bravery by elected representatives - balls of solid steel as a minimum requirement. Or more realistically a big gap between the ears.

What, you hope they are going to violate the law? The requirement that delegates vote for the person to whom they were pledged at the primary is the result of legislation, not party rulemaking. The only way that they can nominate anybody other than Trump at this point is if (a) they violate the law or (b) Trump resigns his candicacy (or dies). And if they violate the law that's going to be a huge mess that will (1) almost certainly guarantee a victory for the Democrats and (b) lead to massive litigation that the Republican Party, being both legally in the wrong and on the wrong end of the best litigators money can buy, will lose. > > > > > As I've said, no system can be perfect because the system is run > > by and for imperfect people. > >
