With the current continent-states this is not a problem yet. There are enough renegade states of almost every kind that finding a geographic platform that suits you is not a huge problem. But Google, Apple and Microsoft will have to pay taxes soon, or be permanently relegated to the other geography. -- mrr

I suspect that Google will use a different name in each country. Small
firms will pay for adverts in that country. Multi-national companies
will buy multi-country advertising from an agency is a tax haven.

The gateways to the tax havens have been the tax credits from Ireland,
Malta, Delaware and Nevada. These have accepted tax credits from every
signatory of the British Empire tax treaties (which by a fluke of history
also inclode Denmark and Norway, and therefore also US Virgin Islands).
These have been kept more or less unchanged since the 1930s.
These gateways are closing fast. Now only Ireland is left in full function,
and they will close down next new year. After which all tax credits will have
to be fully documented. The US gateways have been out of commision for
nearly a decade now; with Ireland the only one between the Real Tax Havens
and OECD mainland.
No more $2B licence payments to Cayman, leaving a pittance in profitls.
Apple is still doing this, as is Google. This means that they now have
a cash hoard of several tens of billion $ that cannot be repatriated back
to the US without paying LOTS of back taxes. So they loan the money back
to the mother company; leading to a very iffy balance sheet for such a
large and successful company.
But come 2017; they will all have to pay taxes for income in EU+NAFTA.
For Google alone this will amount to several billion $ just to the EU.

Yes, there is plenty of infrastructure like the highways and bridges that would be worth maintaining, but that is all done with skilled machine operators now, not lots of the unskilled with shovels and wheel barrows and stuff like that. It wouldn’t work today.

The problem is that the banks have to lend to someone, that's what banks do, and not all of that type of lending sinks the company.
