1984: I got my first PC. It was a clone, prone to overheating.

1985: Replaced it (transplanted drives and cards/memory) with a Taiwanese 
clone.

1989: Replaced with a PS/2 Model 80.

1992: Replaced that with a PS/2 Model 95: the Model 80 went to my work 
offoce and stayed there until 1997. Never failed.

1997: Replaced with IBM PC Server 325. Model 95 went to work and was used 
until 2002.

2006: Replaced with IBM xSeries tower.

2013: Replaced with home built machine.

Most of those stayed around a while longer, but I have numerous other 
machines, including a number of HP microservers, bought cheap and new. I 
also have four PDP-11s and three VAXes. And a Sinclair ZX81.
