With ours there is very little difference at all between the airport and train station, just the bag scan at the airport which only adds seconds. Both are only minutes away from home, free parking outside both of them. So the all day trip to the state capital by train compares with only 90 mins by plane, so the only people who use the train are those who don’t want to pay about double for the air fare. No real difference at the state capital end if you use a taxi there. No car rental as convenient at the train station. Much more convenient by plane if you want to go further than the state capital, to one of the other state capitals or out of the country. Train involves changing to another to get to the airport and almost now one moves between the state capitals anymore by train now. Buses similar. > Still, I prefer to be at the airport 50 minutes before departure, at the > very least.
