The best thing I have so far, is using GNU Emacs' M-x describe-char for knowing what an emoji means. Which takes a lot of effort: setting the point on the emoji, running that command, changing buffer, scrolling the buffer down to read the description of the emoji, kill the current buffer and get back to the previous buffer, and continue reading...
