On disk? Yes. It wasn't that long ago that I laid out the basic structure of an image processing suite. I decided that the value of a few bytes of memory exceeded the value of handling images larger than 64k pixels square. Ridiculous. I could not foresee any such thing ever being useful. Fast forward a few decades and, well...that was dumb, wasn't it?
