PBS sucks... haven't tuned in for years.
They fundraise every three weeks, mostly shit programming... self help
gurus, cooking nonsense, travel scam shows, left wing news.
Some shows try to tempt one into buying the show available on DVD.
Seems to be mostly programs that need government funding, because the
viewers find nothing of value.

The only good shows they ever had on were Masterpiece, Nova(older ones).
I get that type of programming by subscribing to Britbox, Acorn TV.
160 bucks a year, watch entire series when I want without a single
interruption.

If PBS were any good, I'd pay for it, but it's "garbage".
Stop sending taxpayer money to keep crap on air.

PBS has a nice app you can run on Roku or Google TV to view
good programs at your leisure.

The PBS Newshour is fairly even-handed, and can go more in depth than
the evening news of the main teevee channels.

I remember, growing up in rural Illinois outside of Chicago, watching
a lot of channel 11, WTTW ("Window to the World"). Interesting shows you'd
never see on the other channels. I particularly remember "Soundstage",
which introduced me to the fusion group Return to Forever and to Gil

Otherwise shows are taken off, unavailable rather quickly.
But, the last I used the app was when the newest "Sherlock" was on.
That show became unavailable rather quickly, stll can watch it on

I don't watch it because I'm not interested in it's views, so I removed
it. I remove other channels I don't watch. Sounds pretty fuckin
intelligent to me.

I also don't watch golf, basketball, wrestling, reality Tv, dogs licking

This is the thing - I find PBS NewsHour and such kind of tedious,
myself, at times, but that's because they're presenting things in an
intellectual manner, they don't have the flashy BS of the networks.
Public broadcasting *isn't* really biased, it just happens to be
accepted more among the left, the right wants crap like FNC.  But it'd
be a mistake to think there aren't people on the right who are the
exception, and are more intelligent/rational, who do look at PBS/NPR/
BBC, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting does a service for all of
us, truly.

I don't really watch network news. If I'm interested in finding out
something, I just read a few search results, and come to my own
conclusion.

intelligence.

I do watch BBC News at times, no rationalization needed.
