They don't believe in God so they shouldn't receive holiday pay for Christmas. The recognized holiday is "Christmas", not that "solstice" abomination they call it..

There is written the Sun and rain comes to both good and bad people. Consider holidays as sunny days. -- Poutnik ( The Pilgrim, Der Wanderer ) A wise man guards words he says, as they say about him more, than he says about the subject.

The same for Chinese New Year, etc. Sometimes it is better to just let sleeping dogs lie.

Those who follow a particular religion can use it to celebrate their faith. Those of another faith or no faith at all can use it in whatever way they choose. By the way, there are plenty of people who believe in God who don't celebrate Christmas. Christmas is a Christian holiday. Many other religions also have a God.
