When instances don't work i just run it on a VPS temporarly
or locally with podman:

https://quay.io/repository/invidious/invidious

https://docs.invidious.io/installation/

Clone the repo:

https://github.com/iv-org/invidious.git

cd into it an modify the docker-compose.yml, changing
the HMAC_KEY and the invidious_companion_key

Then:

podman-compose up -d

This is what i do, but i don't do it often

how is going? 
PD: yeah when invidious does not work there are other way as nerdrat pointed out, 
but the reason I put the youtube links as well most times is so people can choose 
what to use, many use vpn and such.

Sometimes invidious works, sometimes not. Sometimes videos stop playing
after some time. Dunno if that is related to YT or an overloaded iv
instance.

yt-dlp over TOR used to work slowly yet reliably, but they've gotten
quite good at spotting exit nodes. Now, in case the remaining invidious
instances are down or overloaded, i just rip from my residential net and
rotate IPs when i'm blocked.

Yeah I get blocked a lot, but at least I am semi lucky that
most hacking/security/linux people I follow are also 
on odysee and peertube, but some shows I watch 
are still on eviltube ... **shrug**
