I deleted eternal-september from my Thunderbird deleting all data.
I changed my mind and added it again.
I have now all the permissions back.

The weird thing: I did not have to give my credentials again.

The e-s stuff in News is not where Tb keeps your user/pass for e-s.

You could use this interface to inspect the materials. There might be
two files in the main section of the profile folder (News Mail something something)
which contain the actual materials. Since the Password Manager is a security
interface, when the version of the software changes, the security method
for keeping the passwords safe, can change, and that's why depending
on what you've done with releases (upgrade or downgrade), it can have
some impact on the contents of those two files. You might have to re-enter
passwords, if downgrading.

Thanks.
I suspected Edge autofill had something to do with it but I was wrong.

Under conventional conditions, your user/pass is living 'directly' in
your profiles dir in logins.json & key4.db, Win or linux.
